Jenice C asked: I recently agreed to pay off a debt for a friend through GC services a collection agency. My friend, the collector and me had a three way conversation over the phone during my lunch break and I agreed to pay the debt for my friend and for my friend to go straight to my house and tell the man my bank infor since i was at work and coulnt get it on time. they threated my friend and said he had a day to come up w/ the $ or they would sue him. Since I made a verbal agreement with this collector, can I get out of it and not have him tap into my bank account in the process? Once the info was given to him he issued a check w/ my info and my bank returned the check to him a few days later b/c my signature wasnt on it. is this legal on their part and can they take legal action against me even though i dont owe the money and changed my mind to pay off my friends debt? Can he take money out of my account? What can my friend do to resolve this issue. Please help with these questions. thanks

Munch_101 asked: Can anyone discuss quantitatively of how you would evaluate these competing projects.
Division A
Increasing the investment in Receivables in hopes of generating additional sales and profit.
The total upfront investment would be $10M, and cash flows from year one to infinity would be 1,700,000 per year
2) Division B
Carrying 45 days of inventories instead of 30 days, in hopes of reducing the cost of lost sales.
This new policy requires a total upfront investment of $10Million, and cash flows from year one to infinity would be 1,500,000 per year.
In both cases the financial projections are reasonable, and both investments are strategically equally relevant to H.

Hello asked: Please show work! I need it done by tonight! Thank you!
Simplify as far as you can:
1. x(2x *to the power of 3*) *power of three*
2. c *to the power of 2* – 6c-40 ~Over~ 4c+16
3. x *to the power of 2* + 5x+6 ~Over~ x+5 / x+2 ~Over~ x+2 ~Over~ x *to the power of 2* +4x-5
4. 4 ~Over~ x-2 – 3 ~Over~ x
5. 5k=2R-7a Solve for R
6. 8p= 5f ~Over~ W (The square root of) Solve for W
7. (Expand the expression) 3x*to the power of 2* y(2x *to the power of 2* + 5y-3)
8. Solve this set of simultaneous equations for x and y.
2x+y= 5
x-2y=10
9. Solve for the unknown:
3/5b + 1/3=4
10. 5(3-a) + 2a =4a-6
11. 4x-2=5x+8
12. Use factoring or the quadratic formula:
x *to the power of 2* + 10x+8=0
13. 2y*to the power of 2* +y-10=0
14. t*to the power of 2* +3t-5=0
15. Factor completely:
25x*to the power of 2* -4
16. 4m*to the power of 2* + 11m-3
17. 48m*to the power of 3* a *to the power of 4* -36m *to the power of 5*a*to the power of 3)

seifer93 asked: I was recently looking at the specs on my pc to decide whether or not I should get a new pc or just upgrade my graphics card (I am upgrading and I noticed this.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
I have never noticed it, but I have two CPUs. Is this normal in a pc and what is the purpose of having 2 CPUs. I am thinking that it is because this was at one point an office computer and (I think) was used as a server that it needed the extra juice. Also, here are the rest of my specs, do you think I should get a new computer or upgrade my current one?
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Compaq dc5700 Small Form Factor
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Page File: 678MB used, 1782MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
If you need more info than just put that in your answer and I will add it as a detail.
Thanks for your answers. Just for the record, I am thinking about upgrading because my pc (mainly the graphics card) is very low tech for modern games. I also have a 360, however I prefer the pc and my 360 has the RROD anyway. While my pc has no problem running most games from 2-3 years ago I need to severely lower the graphics on most games or can’t even run them. I tried to install “Just Cause” through Gametap and it is very choppy (like 20 fps) even at its lowest setting.
Also I could have asked my father, seeing as he is a computer technician, but he kind of gives me the, “Wow you are an idiot.” response.
